Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef

Directions
- In a large pot over medium heat, add the ground beef, onion, and garlic. Cook until the beef is browned.
- Add the diced tomatoes, chili beans, and green chilies. Stir to combine.
- Add the chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
- Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add the red pepper flakes and simmer for an additional 10 minutes.
- Serve with shredded cheddar cheese, if desired.
