Ingredients

  • 1 lb green beans, trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 shallot, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Fill a large pot with water and bring it to a boil.
  2. Add green beans and blanch for 3-5 minutes.
  3. Drain the green beans and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process.
  4. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  5. Add garlic and shallot and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Add the green beans and cook for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Season with salt and pepper and serve.
