Ingredients
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 lettuce leaves
- 4 slices of tomato
- 4 slices of avocado
- 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup cilantro, chopped
- 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and minced
- 1 lime, juiced
Directions
- In a large bowl, mix together the ground turkey, cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Form the mixture into four patties.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
- Grill the burgers for 7-8 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
- To make the pico de gallo, mix together the onion, cilantro, jalapeno, and lime juice in a small bowl.
- Place the buns on the grill and toast for 1-2 minutes.
- To assemble the burgers, place a lettuce leaf on each bun, followed by a burger patty, tomato slice, avocado slice, and a spoonful of pico de gallo.
