Mexican Buffalo Wings with Salsa Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup hot sauce
  • 1/3 cup salsa
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Add chicken wings and toss to coat.
  3. Spread the wings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 25 minutes, or until the wings are cooked through and golden brown.
  4. In a medium saucepan, combine the hot sauce, salsa, honey, butter, and lime juice. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes, or until the sauce thickens.
  5. Add the cooked wings to the saucepan and toss to coat. Transfer to a serving platter and garnish with cilantro.
  6. Serve immediately.
