Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons matcha green tea powder
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease and flour a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and matcha green tea powder.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  5. Add the milk and vanilla extract and mix until combined.
  6. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread evenly.
  8. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
