Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

Beat in the egg and vanilla until light and fluffy.
In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder; stir into the creamed mixture until just blended.
Fold in the chocolate chips.
Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, until edges are lightly toasted.
Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

If you want a more intense chocolate flavor, you can add more cocoa powder.
