Ingredients

  • 1 cup pecan halves
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon water

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 250 degrees F (120 degrees C).
  2. Spread the pecans on a baking sheet and bake for 5 minutes.
  3. In a medium bowl, mix together the brown sugar, white sugar, cinnamon, salt and nutmeg.
  4. In a small saucepan, melt the butter and stir in the water. Add the sugar mixture and stir until blended.
  5. Remove the pecans from the oven and add to the sugar mixture. Stir until the pecans are evenly coated.
  6. Spread the pecans back on the baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes, stirring once halfway through.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool before serving.
