Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup canned pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup cinnamon-sugar

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a doughnut pan with cooking spray or shortening.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the pumpkin puree, sugar, oil, maple syrup, and egg until combined.
  4. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Fill the doughnut pan with the batter. Bake for 15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Let the doughnuts cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then turn them out onto a wire rack.
  7. Roll the doughnuts in the cinnamon-sugar mixture and serve warm.
