Ingredients
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1/3 cup cornstarch
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 1/2 teaspoon rose water
- 1/4 cup ground almonds
- 1 tablespoon pistachios, chopped
Directions
- In a medium saucepan, whisk together the milk and cornstarch until smooth.
- Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring constantly.
- Reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring constantly, until the mixture is thick and creamy.
- Remove from heat and stir in the sugar, cardamom, rose water and ground almonds.
- Pour the mixture into individual serving dishes and refrigerate for at least two hours.
- Garnish with chopped pistachios before serving.
