Ingredients

  • 1 package won-ton wrappers
  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 carrot, grated
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Directions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground chicken and cook, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through, about 10 minutes.
  2. Add the onion, carrot, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil and ginger and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  3. Season the mixture with salt and pepper, to taste.
  4. To assemble the won-tons, place a won-ton wrapper in the palm of your hand and fill with 1-2 tablespoons of the chicken filling.
  5. Dip your finger in a small bowl of water and moisten the edges of the won-ton wrapper.
  6. Fold the wrapper in half, pressing the edges together to seal.
  7. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
  8. To cook the won-tons, heat a pot of water to a boil. Add the won-tons and cook for 5-6 minutes, or until the wrappers are tender.
  9. Drain the won-tons, then serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
