Ingredients

  • 2 cups macaroni, cooked according to package instructions
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1/4 teaspoon mustard powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Add the flour and whisk until combined and bubbly. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Slowly pour in the milk while whisking. Cook for 5-7 minutes until thickened.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in the grated cheese, mustard powder, garlic powder, paprika, pepper, and salt. Stir until cheese is melted.
  6. Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce and stir to combine.
  7. Pour the macaroni and cheese into a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  8. Bake for 25 minutes. Sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.
