Ingredients
1 lb. elbow macaroni
4 tablespoons butter
4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
3 cups whole milk
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 can of your favorite beer
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
Cook the macaroni according to package directions.
In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
Whisk in the flour and cook for 1 minute.
Slowly whisk in the milk and bring to a simmer.
Stir in the garlic and onion powders, cheddar cheese, and mozzarella cheese until the cheese is melted and the sauce is thickened.
Stir in the beer and season to taste with salt and pepper.
Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce and stir until combined.
Pour the macaroni and cheese into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
Bake for 15 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
