Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped celery
  • 2 tablespoons Old Bay seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 pound lump crab meat, picked over for shells and cartilage
  • 1 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, onion, celery, Old Bay seasoning, lemon juice, and Worcestershire sauce until well combined.
  2. Gently fold in the crabmeat, being careful not to break up the lumps.
  3. Form the mixture into 8 equal-sized patties and place them on a plate.
  4. In a shallow bowl, mix together the panko bread crumbs and melted butter.
  5. Dip each patty into the panko mixture, coating both sides. Place the coated patties on a baking sheet.
  6. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry the patties in batches for about 3 minutes per side, or until golden brown.
