Ingredients
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/4 cup finely chopped celery
- 2 tablespoons Old Bay seasoning
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 pound lump crab meat, picked over for shells and cartilage
- 1 cup panko bread crumbs
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Directions
- In a large bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, onion, celery, Old Bay seasoning, lemon juice, and Worcestershire sauce until well combined.
- Gently fold in the crabmeat, being careful not to break up the lumps.
- Form the mixture into 8 equal-sized patties and place them on a plate.
- In a shallow bowl, mix together the panko bread crumbs and melted butter.
- Dip each patty into the panko mixture, coating both sides. Place the coated patties on a baking sheet.
- Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry the patties in batches for about 3 minutes per side, or until golden brown.
