Ingredients
1 lb. kielbasa, cut into 1-inch slices
1 lb. penne pasta
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 cups milk
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. dried oregano
1/2 tsp. dried basil
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°F/177°C.
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the penne and cook until al dente, about 8 minutes.
Meanwhile, melt the butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the kielbasa and cook until lightly browned, about 5 minutes.
Add the flour to the skillet and cook, stirring constantly, for 1 minute.
Whisk in the milk and bring to a simmer. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the sauce is thickened, about 5 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in the cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, oregano, and basil.
Drain the pasta and add to the sauce. Stir to coat the pasta. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Pour the pasta mixture into a 9x13-inch baking dish. Bake for 20 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
Serve hot. Enjoy!
