Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground lamb
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh mint leaves
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 burger buns
  • Toppings: lettuce, tomato slices, onion slices, feta cheese, tzatziki sauce

Directions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground lamb, red onion, garlic, parsley, mint leaves, cumin, coriander, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to ensure all the ingredients are evenly distributed.
  3. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a patty. Make sure the patties are slightly larger than the burger buns as they will shrink during cooking.
  4. Place the lamb patties on the preheated grill and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. For medium-rare, cook for 4 minutes per side. For medium, cook for 5 minutes per side.
  5. While the patties are cooking, lightly toast the burger buns on the grill for about 1 minute, or until they are slightly crispy.
  6. Remove the lamb patties from the grill and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
  7. Assemble the grilled lamb burgers by placing a patty on each toasted bun. Add your desired toppings such as lettuce, tomato slices, onion slices, feta cheese, and a dollop of tzatziki sauce.
  8. Serve the burgers immediately and enjoy!
