Ingredients

  • 1 pound sponge cake
  • 1 pint custard
  • 1 pint fresh fruit (blueberries, raspberries, strawberries)
  • 1 pint whipped cream

Directions

  1. Cut the sponge cake into small cubes and place in the bottom of a large trifle bowl.
  2. Spoon the custard over the sponge cake, making sure it is evenly distributed.
  3. Top the custard with the fresh fruit.
  4. Once the fruit is evenly distributed, top the trifle with the whipped cream.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
