Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 lb. ground Italian sausage
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, Italian sausage, onion, garlic, bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and egg.
- On a lightly greased rimmed baking sheet, shape the meat mixture into a log and press the shredded mozzarella cheese firmly into the top and sides of the log.
- Bake for 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F.
- Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
