Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
In a medium bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and salt until smooth. Stir in the vanilla and eggs until light and fluffy. Gradually blend in the flour and baking powder until just combined.
Press the dough into the prepared pan. Sprinkle the top with the nuts and chocolate chips. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until golden brown.
Cool on a wire rack before cutting into bars.

This recipe uses salted nuts, but you can also substitute the salted nuts with unsalted nuts to reduce the saltiness of the bar.
