Ingredients

  • 2 cups dried chickpeas
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Directions

  1. Add the chickpeas, water, onion, garlic, and spices to the Instant Pot. Stir to combine.
  2. Secure the lid and set the valve to the “Sealing” position.
  3. Select the “Manual” or “Pressure Cook” setting, and adjust the time to 15 minutes.
  4. Once the cooking time is complete, use the quick release method to release the pressure from the Instant Pot.
  5. Carefully remove the lid and stir the chickpeas. Serve warm.
