Ingredients

  • 2 cups of cooked jasmine rice
  • 1/4 cup of vegetable oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground coriander
  • 1/4 teaspoon of ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup of frozen peas
  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of fish sauce
  • 1/4 cup of chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1/4 cup of chopped scallions
  • 1/4 cup of chopped peanuts

Directions

  1. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the onion, garlic, ginger, coriander, cumin, and turmeric and cook until the onion is soft, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the cooked rice and stir to combine.
  4. Add the peas, soy sauce, and fish sauce and cook for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Add the cilantro, scallions, and peanuts and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  6. Serve hot.
