Ingredients

  • 3 pounds chuck roast, cut into 2-inch cubes
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the chuck roast, olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, thyme, smoked paprika, and black pepper. Mix until the ingredients are evenly distributed.
  2. Transfer the mixture to a slow cooker. Cook on low for 6 hours, stirring occasionally.
  3. Remove the roast from the slow cooker and shred it with two forks.
  4. Return the shredded beef to the slow cooker and add the barbecue sauce. Stir until the sauce is evenly distributed.
  5. Cook for an additional 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Serve the barbecued shredded beef with your favorite sides.
