Ingredients
500g sausage meat
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon thyme
1 teaspoon sage
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 sheet ready-made puff pastry
1 beaten egg, for glazing
Directions
Preheat the oven to 180C/350F/Gas Mark 4.
In a bowl, mix together the sausage meat, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, sage, onion powder, and garlic powder.
Cut the puff pastry sheet into four equal pieces.
Divide the sausage mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a sausage shape, about 20cm/8in long.
Place a sausage in the centre of each pastry piece and brush the edges with the beaten egg.
Fold the pastry over the sausage and press the edges together to seal.
Brush the tops of the sausage rolls with the beaten egg and cut three diagonal slits in the top of each roll.
Place on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until golden-brown and cooked through.
Serve hot or cold.
