Ingredients
- 1 box of cake mix
- 1/3 cup of oil
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup of water
- 24 flat-bottomed waffle ice cream cones
- 1/2 cup of butter, softened
- 4 cups of powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 2-3 tablespoons of milk
- Assorted food coloring
- Sprinkles, for decorating
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line two cupcake pans with cupcake liners.
- In a large bowl, mix together the cake mix, oil, eggs, and water until combined.
- Fill each ice cream cone about 2/3 full with the cake batter and place in the cupcake pans.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Remove cupcakes from the oven and let cool completely.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the vanilla extract and milk and mix until combined.
- Divide the frosting into small bowls and color each one with a different food coloring.
- Frost each cupcake with the desired color of frosting and top with sprinkles.
