Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh or frozen raspberries
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice

Directions

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the raspberries, sugar, cinnamon, and cayenne pepper.
  2. Stir occasionally until the mixture begins to bubble and thicken, about 5 minutes.
  3. Reduce the heat to low and cook for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the lemon juice.
  5. Let the spread cool completely before transferring to a jar or airtight container.
