  • 1/2 pound cooked sausage
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl, cream together the butter, flour, salt, and pepper until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  2. Slowly add the cold water, stirring constantly until the dough forms a ball.
  3. On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough out into a 12-inch square.
  4. In a medium bowl, combine the sausage, parsley, Parmesan cheese, and egg. Mix well.
  5. Spread the sausage mixture over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border all around.
  6. Starting at one end, roll the dough up into a log, sealing the ends.
  7. Cut into 1-inch slices and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake in a preheated 375°F oven for 20 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown.
