Ingredients
- 4 slices sandwich bread
- 4 slices cooked ham
- 4 slices cheese
- 1/4 cup all purpose flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- Oil, for frying
Directions
- Lay out 4 slices of bread.
- Top each slice with 1 slice of ham and 1 slice of cheese.
- In a shallow bowl, whisk together flour, eggs, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add enough oil to coat the bottom of the pan.
- Dip each sandwich into the egg mixture and let the excess drip off.
- Place each sandwich into the hot skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
- Remove from the skillet and serve hot.
