Ingredients

  • 4 slices sandwich bread
  • 4 slices cooked ham
  • 4 slices cheese
  • 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • Oil, for frying

Directions

  1. Lay out 4 slices of bread.
  2. Top each slice with 1 slice of ham and 1 slice of cheese.
  3. In a shallow bowl, whisk together flour, eggs, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add enough oil to coat the bottom of the pan.
  5. Dip each sandwich into the egg mixture and let the excess drip off.
  6. Place each sandwich into the hot skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
  7. Remove from the skillet and serve hot.
