Ingredients
- 1/4 cup of water
- 2 tablespoons of light corn syrup
- 1/4 teaspoon of cream of tartar
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons of marshmallow flavoring
Directions
- In a medium saucepan, combine the water, light corn syrup, cream of tartar, and salt. Place over medium heat and stir until the ingredients are fully combined.
- Add the sugar to the saucepan and stir until the sugar is completely dissolved. Increase the heat to medium-high and bring the mixture to a boil.
- Once the mixture reaches a boil, reduce the heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the marshmallow flavoring.
- Transfer the marshmallow creme to a heat-proof bowl and let cool for 10 minutes.
- Using an electric mixer, beat the marshmallow creme until it becomes light and fluffy.
