Homemade Jalapeno Pepper Jelly

Ingredients

  • 2 cups jalapeno peppers, seeded and chopped
  • 4 cups white sugar
  • 3/4 cup white vinegar
  • 1 (6 ounce) package liquid pectin
  • 1 teaspoon butter
    • Directions

      1. Mix together the jalapeno peppers, sugar, vinegar, and pectin in a large pot.
      2. Bring to a full rolling boil over high heat, stirring constantly.
      3. Stir in the butter. Boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
      4. Remove from heat and ladle into sterilized jars. Seal the jars and process in a boiling water bath for 10 minutes.
      5. Remove from water bath and allow to cool. Jelly is ready to eat as soon as it's cool.
