Ingredients

  • 4 cups cubed, stale bread
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Place the cubed bread in a large bowl and set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
  4. Pour the oil mixture over the cubed bread and stir until the bread is evenly coated.
  5. Spread the croutons onto a baking sheet in an even layer.
  6. Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the croutons are golden brown and crunchy.
  7. Remove from oven and let cool before serving.
