Ingredients
- 2 large tomatoes, sliced
- 1/4 cup grated cheddar cheese

Directions
- Preheat the broiler. Place the tomatoes on a baking sheet, and sprinkle with the cheese, garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Broil the tomatoes for 5 to 7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Meanwhile, melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the bread slices and toast until golden brown.
- To assemble the sandwiches, place the broiled tomatoes on two of the slices of toast. Top with the remaining slices of toast.
