Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and yeast. Mix well.
  2. Add the salt and warm water to the flour mixture. Stir until a sticky dough forms.
  3. Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and let the dough rise for 1 hour.
  4. After 1 hour, the dough should be doubled in size.

  8. Shape the dough into a rectangular shape, about 10 inches long and 2 inches thick.

  10. After 30 minutes, the dough should rise slightly.
  11. Bake the ciabatta bread in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
  12. Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack before slicing.
