Ingredients

  • 1 lb steak, cubed
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 can of diced tomatoes
  • 1 can of kidney beans
  • 1 can of black beans
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/4 cup tomato paste
  • Optional toppings: shredded cheese, sour cream, cilantro

Directions

  1. In a large pot, brown the steak cubes over medium heat until cooked through. Remove from the pot and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, sauté the onion, garlic, and bell pepper until softened.
  3. Add the diced tomatoes, kidney beans, black beans, chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
  4. Return the steak to the pot and pour in the beef broth and tomato paste. Bring to a simmer.
  5. Cover and let the chili cook for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
