Ingredients
- 1 whole chicken, cut into pieces
- 2 carrots, peeled and sliced
- 2 celery stalks, diced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 8 cups chicken broth
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup of pasta or rice (optional)
Directions
- In a large pot, heat some oil over medium heat and sauté the onions, garlic, carrots, and celery until softened.
- Add the chicken pieces to the pot and brown on all sides.
