Ingredients
- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1/4 cup Greek yogurt
- 1/3 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips (optional)
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, mix together mashed bananas, applesauce, Greek yogurt, honey/maple syrup, and vanilla extract.
- Add in the whole wheat flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Stir until just combined.
- Fold in chopped nuts or chocolate chips if using.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
