Ingredients

  • 2 apples, diced
  • 1 cup fresh pineapple, diced
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup quick oats
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the diced apples and pineapple. Sprinkle with the brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger.
  3. Pour the mixture into a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  4. In a small bowl, combine the butter, flour, oats, and nuts. Mix with a fork until crumbly.
  5. Sprinkle the crumb mixture over the apple and pineapple mixture.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the fruit is bubbly.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool before serving.
