Ingredients
- 1/2 pound cooked ham, diced
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1/2 cup diced celery
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 3/4 cups milk
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 3 cups scalloped potato chips
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the onions and celery and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add the flour and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
- Add the milk, salt, and pepper and stir until the sauce is thick and bubbly. Remove from heat and stir in the cheese.
- In a 9x13 inch baking dish, layer half of the potato chips, followed by the ham, followed by the cheese sauce. Repeat the layers.
- Bake for 30 minutes, or until the top is browned and bubbly.
