Directions
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions.
Meanwhile, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook, stirring, until the onion is softened, about 5 minutes.
Add the red pepper flakes and cook for 1 minute. Add the tomatoes and parsley and season with salt and pepper, to taste. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes.
Drain the pasta and add it to the skillet with the sauce. Add the Parmesan cheese and stir to combine. Serve with additional Parmesan cheese, if desired.
