Ingredients

  • 1 cup quick-cooking grits
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup cooked ham, diced
  • 2 eggs, beaten

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease an 8 inch square baking dish.
  2. In a medium saucepan, bring the water and salt to a boil. Slowly stir in the grits, reduce heat to low, and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the butter, cheese, ham, and eggs. Pour into the prepared baking dish.
  4. Bake for 25 minutes, or until set.
