Dutch Oven Baked Spaghetti with Chicken and Sausage

Ingredients

  • 1 pound of spaghetti
  • 1 lb of chicken, diced
  • 1 lb of sausage, sliced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 can of diced tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of pepper
  • 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  2. In a large Dutch oven, cook the chicken, sausage, onion, garlic and bell pepper over medium heat until the chicken and sausage are cooked through and the vegetables are tender.
  3. Add the diced tomatoes and the Italian seasoning, salt and pepper to the pot and stir to combine.
  4. Bring the mixture to a boil and then reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 10 minutes.
  5. Add the spaghetti to the pot and stir to combine. Make sure the spaghetti is submerged in the sauce.
  6. Cover the pot and bake in the oven for 20 minutes.
  7. Remove the Dutch oven from the oven and stir the spaghetti. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese over the top of the spaghetti and return it to the oven, uncovered.
  8. Bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Serve and enjoy!
