This grilled tri-tip roast recipe is perfect for a summer barbecue or any special occasion. The tri-tip roast is marinated in a flavorful mixture, then grilled to perfection. The result is a tender and juicy roast with a delicious smoky flavor. Serve it with your favorite sides for a complete and satisfying meal.

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds tri-tip roast
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup olive oil

Directions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, balsamic vinegar, honey, minced garlic, paprika, dried thyme, black pepper, salt, and olive oil.
  2. Place the tri-tip roast in a large resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over it. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Remove the tri-tip roast from the marinade, allowing any excess marinade to drip off. Discard the marinade.
  5. Place the tri-tip roast on the grill and cook for about 20 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 135°F for medium-rare or 145°F for medium.
  6. Remove the tri-tip roast from the grill and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
  7. Slice the tri-tip roast against the grain and serve.
