Ingredients

  • 1 octopus (1-1.5kg)
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup olives, pitted and halved
  • 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons white wine
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Clean and prepare the octopus, removing any eyes or other organs.
  2. Combine the onions, garlic, olives, tomatoes, olive oil, white wine, salt and pepper in a large bowl and mix until evenly combined.
  3. Place the octopus in the bowl and coat it evenly with the marinade.
  4. Cover the bowl and let the octopus marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
  5. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  6. Place the octopus on the grill and cook for 10-15 minutes, turning once, until the octopus is cooked through.
  7. Serve the grilled octopus with the remaining marinade as a sauce.
