Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 4 burger buns
  • 1/2 cup satay sauce
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Sliced cucumbers
  • Sliced red onions
  • Chopped fresh cilantro

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, honey, cumin, coriander, turmeric, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  2. Divide the chicken mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into burger patties.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Place the burger patties on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until the patties are cooked through and have grill marks.
  4. While the burgers are grilling, toast the burger buns on the grill until lightly golden.
  5. To assemble the burgers, spread a generous amount of satay sauce on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Place a burger patty on top, followed by lettuce leaves, sliced cucumbers, sliced red onions, and chopped fresh cilantro. Top with the remaining half of the bun.
