Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup warm water
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons of active dry yeast
  • 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 3 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon of salt

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let sit for 10 minutes or until the mixture is bubbly.
  2. Add in oil, flour, and salt. Mix until a soft dough forms.
  3. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead until it is smooth and elastic, about 5 minutes.
  4. Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise for 30 minutes or until doubled in size.
  5. Punch down dough and divide into 12 pieces.
  6. Shape each piece into a ball and place in greased muffin tins.
  7. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes or until doubled in size.
  8. Bake at 375 degrees F for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
