Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 (10-ounce) can biscuit dough, broken into 1-inch pieces

Directions

  1. In a large pot over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the onion and celery and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute.
  2. Add the chicken broth, chicken, thyme, rosemary, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes.
