Ingredients
- 4 cups cucumbers, sliced
- 1 cup white onion, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup white vinegar
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon mustard seed
- 1 teaspoon celery seed
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
Directions
- In a large bowl, combine the cucumbers and onions.
- In a medium saucepan, combine the vinegar, sugar, mustard seed, celery seed, turmeric, cloves, cinnamon, ginger, garlic powder, and allspice. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
- Pour the hot vinegar mixture over the cucumbers and onions in the bowl. Let cool to room temperature.
- Transfer the pickles to sterilized jars. Cover and refrigerate for at least 24 hours before serving.
