Ingredients

  • 1 cup of whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/4 cup of chopped nuts (almonds, walnuts, or pecans)
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons of melted butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, nuts, and honey.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix together the milk, egg, melted butter, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  4. Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium-high heat.
  5. Using a 1/4 cup measuring cup, scoop the batter onto the skillet or griddle.
  6. Cook the pancakes for about 3 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  7. Flip the pancakes and cook for an additional 2 minutes, or until cooked through.
  8. Serve with your favorite toppings such as maple syrup, butter, or fresh fruit.
