Directions
- In a medium saucepan, combine the red wine, sugar, orange zest and juice, cinnamon sticks, cloves, star anise, nutmeg, and ginger.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the mixture steep for 10 minutes.
- Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into mugs or glasses.
- Serve the Gluehwein warm or cold.
