Ingredients

  • 2 cups of water
  • 1 cup of grits
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Bring the water to a boil in a medium saucepan.
  2. Slowly stir in the grits and reduce the heat to low.
  3. Cook the grits for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Stir in the garlic, butter, salt and pepper.
  5. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  6. Serve hot.
