Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup of breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons of milk
  • 2 tablespoons of parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • ¼ teaspoon of pepper
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, chopped onion, egg, breadcrumbs, milk, parsley, salt and pepper. Mix until all ingredients are combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into balls about the size of a golf ball.
  3. Heat the butter and oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the meatballs to the skillet and cook for about 10 minutes, turning occasionally until golden brown on all sides.
  5. Reduce the heat to low and cook for an additional 10 minutes or until the meatballs are cooked through.
  6. Serve with potatoes, gravy and a side of vegetables.
