Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, oil, and water. Mix until a dough is formed.
  2. Divide the dough into 12 equal portions and roll each into a ball. Flatten each ball into a circle and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Add the dough circles and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown.
  4. In a separate skillet, cook the ground beef until it is no longer pink. Drain off any excess fat.
  5. Add the cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, and onion powder to the beef and stir to combine.
  6. Spoon the beef mixture onto the fry breads. Top with salsa, cheese, cilantro, sour cream, and olives. Serve immediately.
